Pet Sitting
Dog Sitting
We provide your furry friend with a relaxing and loving environment within their own home. We believe that kennels can be a harsh and stressful environment leading to possible behavioural issues. Rest assured our boarders integrate your pooch into their family and daily life. Giving them love, cuddles, play and lots of walks. Having boarded dogs in the past, we now believe it is more beneficial for your pup to stay in their own home environment as opposed to experiencing the stress of being placed into a strange and unfamiliar home. Therefor, we prefer pet sitting in your home instead of boarding in ours. This way, your pup can still enjoy the comfort of home, stick to their normal routine and experience as little upheaval as possible.
Cat Sitting
We believe, although cats are viewed as more independent pets, they still deserve love and affection on tap. For this reason, we do not offer daily visits for your best friend, instead we look after your feline baby in your home with our overnight stays, providing purr-worthy ear scratches all night long. Due to their territorial nature, cats can find catteries stressful and scary environments. To ensure their happiness, we will come to your home and look after them in their own, familiar environment.
Important Info
How does my Pet Sitter Stay work?
Before the stay, your pet sitter will come to your home for a meet & greet. This is so your animal can meet your sitter and get used to them being in your house. Your sitter can also access whether they are a good pairing with your pooch.
Please ensure that your house is reasonably clean, comfortable and of a healthy standard. We do not accept pet sits in houses with black mould or broken windows. All doors leading to the outside (ie front/back doors) must have an inside lock. Your pet sitter must be told of anyone who may have a spare key or are due to come to the house, such as a cleaner.
Food & Medication
Please ensure there is enough food and medication to last the stay. If your pet sitter runs out of food, they will buy a bag of your chosen pet food from a local pet store. The price will be added onto your invoice, plus any travel
expenses such as parking fees. The price of the food may differ to what you normally pay due to the variation of
retail prices.
Rates
At Paws on Holiday, we charge a daily rate for our pet sitting as opposed to a nightly or 24hr rate. We have a minimum of a 2 day booking period. If your pet sitter is booked for one night, you will be charged for 2 days. We advise to book your sitter to come early in the morning and leave in the evening of the last day to ensure you get the most out of your money. This is perfect for those who want a weekend away.
Your sitter needs to be able to leave your house for up to 4 hours a day. If your pet can not be left for this amount of time, please do let us know as this may affect your quotation. If during the stay, it is deemed that your pet can not be left alone due to anxiety, you will be notified and a discussion of rate changes will take place.
Travel Expenses
All travel expenses are to be paid by the client. This excludes transportation fees to get to your location unless you are situated outside of London. Parking charges are to be prearranged by the client. Please ask for all necessary information such as registration plate and car make in advance to allow enough time for parking to be pre-paid.
Money & Booking
We will provide an invoice at the end of the visit. Payment is required within one week of the invoice being sent. Late payments are subject to a late fee of 10% per week. In the event of cancellation, we require a two week cancellation period. If this cancellation period is not adhered to, clients will still be subject to pay the full amount of the sit.
